Professional Employment

Jiwei Zhang received his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2009. Afterwards, he did postdoctoral studies at Nanyang Technological University and Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, respectively. In 2014, he joined Beijing Computational Science Research Center as Assistant Professor.

Research Interest

Modeling and scientific computation of physical, biological and neurobiological phenomena. Specifically, large-scale simulation of inhomogeneous neuronal networks for V1 area, population modeling of neuronal networks dynamics between homogeneity and synchrony, and computational methods for PDEs on unbounded domains.
