Beijing Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) hosted the First Chinese Young Researchers Symposium for Atomic Molecular and Optical Physics from February 8 to 10, 2012. Sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), it attracted 68 young scholars to participate in the forum and shared their research work.
“We encourage young scholars to actively participate in this kind of forums. Young scholars, especially the "After 1970s", are highly expected to become the backbone of the domestic science and technology,” said Shou-Zhu Zhang, member of the NSFC, in his opening speech.
The focused topics of the forum included atomic and molecular physics, Optical Physics and its interdisciplinary physics problems.
