2012-06-07 10:52

During June 6-7, 2012, the International Workshop on Computational and Applied Mathematics was successfully held in Beijing Computational Science Research Center. The workshop was organized by Laboratory for Applied Mathematics, CSRC. More than twenty participants from China, USA and Singapore attended the workshop. The themes of the workshop are about new methods in numerical computation, which mainly include nonlocal models, stochastic differential or partial differential equations, phase field models, and image processing techniques.

In the past decades mathematical modeling, numerical algorithms and high-performance computing have played very important roles in many problems and applications arisen in science and engineering. This special workshop brings together a group of researchers especially young scholars to report and discuss some of the latest progress on numerical computation methods for future academic exchanges and collaborations.
