Continuous Galerkin Solutions for Delay Differential Equations of Pantograph Type

Abstract

In this report, we consider the continuous Galerkin method to solve the delay differential equations of pantograph type under uniform and quasi-graded mesh. The global convergence and the local superconvergence results are obtained. Based on the local superconvergence results, several postprocessing techniques to accelerate the global convergence are proposed. The theoretical expectations are confirmed by numerical experiments.

About the Speaker

黄秋梅, 2009年博士毕业于中科院计算数学研究所, 随后在北京工业大学从事计算数学方面的教学科研工作。主要研究积分方程与时滞微分方程高效数值解法, 在SIAM Numer. Anal., SIAM Sci. Compt.等杂志发表论文多篇。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目 (2016-2019), 国家自然科学基金青年项目 (2012-2014), 北京自然科学基金面上项目(2011~2013), 北京市教委科技面上项目(2015~2017)等; 入选"北京市科技新星"计划 (2015~2017), "北京市教委青年拔尖人才"培育计划 (2015~2017), "北京工业大学青年百人计划" (2016~2018), "北京工业大学日新人才"培养计划 (2013~2015); 2016年获贵州省科技进步二等奖 (排名第三), 2013年获首届全国微课教学比赛北京市优秀奖, 北京工业大学青年教师基本功比赛二等奖。
